    注意事项

    the ins of...表示“……的起源”，可以用the beginning of...结构代替。另外inate与 from 搭配组成的固定短语inate from，表示“源于……，来自……”。

    02 the author 't ask everyoo love his book.

    作者不能要求每个人都喜欢他的书。

    语法提要

    ask sb to do sth在句中的意思是“要求某人做某事”，可以用demand / require 替换，其结构与ask的结构一致。

    03 the founder of horror fi is gothic horror.

    恐怖小说的鼻祖是哥特派恐怖小说。

    词组释义 the founder of ... ……的鼻祖，……的缔造者

    04 ic books are popular among children.

    漫画书很受孩子们的欢迎。

    语法提要

    among是介词，意思是“在……之间”，用于三者或三者以上，而between则用于两者之间。

    05 this book has much legendary matter.

    这本书有很多传奇色彩。

    类似表达 this book relishes too much of romance. / this book is legendary.

    06 the boy was leafing through some historical books in the reading room.

    这个男孩在阅览室快速翻看一些历史书籍。

    07 reading good books could bring us a lot of bes.

    读好书能给我们带来很多益处。

    语法提要 reading good books 为动名词短语，在句子中充当主语。

    语法提要 knowledge为不可数名词，表示复数时要在前面加上much。

    09 although it's not the bestseller, this is really a good book.

    尽管它不是一本畅销书，但它确实是一本好书。

    注意事项

    although 有“虽然，尽管”的意思，它可以与yet或still连用，但不能与but同时使用。although引导的是让步状语从句。
